58' Sea Ray 580 SS
This very nice Sea Ray 580 SS is a classic with lines which are still modern by today's standards. She is in very good condition with constant care and upgrades including electronics, enclosure, dual thrusters and spare props. Her gelcoat gleams and interior is in excellent shape.
She should survey well. Easy to inspect anytime in Soverel Marina, Palm Beach.
Accommodations and Layout
Two Stateroom, Two Bath with convertible salon sofa bed
What makes the 58 SS different from other express models this size? The fact that it has a highly desirable full beam aft master stateroom (queen), plus another full beam VIP stateroom forward (queen) – both with their own baths which include stall showers (not ‘wet heads’). This layout makes an ideal boat to live-aboard for extended stays without being forced to sleep forward and listen to wave slap, anchor chains and awkward crawling in and out of bed.
From the helm/cockpit door and down a few steps, the salon opens up with a voluminous galley to port and a convertible (electric) sofa for 8 to starboard. The master stateroom is aft with its own bath. The VIP stateroom is forward, also with a private bath (doubles as the day head).
The interior cabinetry and paneling is elegant bird’s eye maple with solid surface countertops (easy and not expensive to change if you prefer a different color). The flooring below has been changed to a nice laminate ‘teak/holly’ look. The master stateroom is carpeted.

A long counter with overhead cabinets means plenty of area for meal preparation and storage. The salon and galley benefits from overhead windows for extra daylight.

Remarks
While older, this Sea Ray 580 SS is a very practical and desirable model. She has exciting lines which any owner would be proud of. Her gelcoat shines and you can tell right away that she has been cared for in a big way. This owner has had her for more than a decade.
Note replaced/upgraded electronics, canvas/enclosures, flooring, dual thrusters, batteries and spare props.
Owning a Sea Ray means ready accessibility to parts and systems domestically. Not to mention very seaworthy, good construction and materials used.
“Ra” is an original owner boat which has always had a fine maintenance program. She is cruise ready and a boat to be proud of!
