The Salon is entered via counter balanced doors.  The décor is warm and inviting with Pomelli and Sapele mahogany.  An aft facing L-shaped sofa and four other chairs provide seating.  An entertainment center and bar area are to starboard. Forward is the open dining area with plenty of storage.

Stairs in a clever up over down arrangement are forward.  The large 3 deck elevator is in this area.

Forward to starboard is the Day Head and the Master suite with his/her head.

To port is the commercial Galley and access to the Crew area.

Going up the stairs starting forward is the Pilothouse with bench seating, a Captain’s suite with a queen berth, a Day Head and the Skylounge with two leather sofas and entertainment center and bar area.  The elevator has a landing on the starboard side.

A Note About Service Intervals

The CAT Maintenance Manual requires a top end overhaul once 512,500 gallons of fuel has been consumed by each engine. “Impetuous” had her top end overhaul at 7,700 hours with only 153,000 gallons of fuel consumed by her engines. The top end overhaul was undertaken because of engine hours, but as a testament to her low load cruising, she had only consumed 30% of the allowable fuel that dictates a top end rebuild.
