Viking’s new 64C is an excellent sea boat with a refined hull design giving her a softer, drier ride and efficient performance. Built Viking-tough as a tanker, BIG OIL is agile and fast as a great white shark after prey, as she chews through the most challenging seas. This highly upgraded open bridge sportfish is a class-leading yacht designed and built to travel to distant canyons or other destinations in luxurious four stateroom, three head accommodations for a large crew. BIG OIL is state-of-the-art and magnificent inside and outside; she has been fully outfitted with fishing accoutrements—Palm Beach tuna tower, Rupp BiggRigg triple spreader outriggers and center rigger, Miya Epoch US-9 teaser reels, Release Trilium fighting chair in a clutter-free 180 sq ft cockpit. Her center console bridge helm is arranged like a ship’s command center with all her sophisticated electronics, MFD screens, and controls at the captain’s fingertips. BIG OIL features upgraded interior décor packages and owner customizations. Viking’s artisanal joinery has been updated to a high-gloss finished horizontal matched-grain walnut, with contrasting textile wall coverings and solid stone-like surfaces for BIG OIL’s superbly functional, relaxing, and elegant living spaces.

Vessel Walkthrough

Salon / Galley / Dinette:

Spacious salon with upgraded L-Shaped Ultraleather sofa to starboard, triangular walnut cocktail table is across from a credenza housing entertainment electronics with an extra refrigerator in forward end. Electrical panel is aft with a wine cooler below. U-Shaped Ultraleather dinette on a raised platform, seats four on forward port side. The huge HDTV is mounted on the bulkhead above the dinette for maximum view-ability throughout the open layout. Peninsula style galley on forward starboard side features an extended, raised bar with two backed bar stools. Top brand appliances are neatly hidden in high-gloss walnut cabinetry and drawers.

BIG OIL features the 4 stateroom/3 head layout with the centerline queen berth in the forward VIP en-suite. The master suite is midships on starboard side with a large en-suite head. Both guest staterooms are on port side with the guest/day head between them. Aft stateroom has two single berths and the forward port guest stateroom (which can be a crew cabin) features over and under bunks. All are beautifully appointed and comfortable and include large flat screen TVs.

Decks / Hull:

Hull sides, flybridge hardtop, tower platform and sunshade (top super structure) feature Nardo Gray paint color to contrast with the white deckhouse and bridge, and a custom metallic boot stripe. Hull bottom is Viking black. Cockpit and mezzanine decks are teak.

Flybridge (Open):

Viking’s Open Bridge layout allows excellent visibility for captain and guests. The center helm console with high-gloss teak helm pod is arranged like a ship’s command center with large glass multi-function displays and all navigation and communication electronics, bow thruster joystick and other controls within easy reach. Helm is air-conditioned for comfort and seats captain and two companions in upgraded Release Marine Trillium Ultraleather chairs with Bentley diamond pattern stitching. Two electric teaser reels along with a fish-finder screen reside in an aft hardtop compartment, allowing the captain to keep an eye on teaser reel activity, while facing aft. Hardtop was upgraded to strong, lightweight carbon fiber with an EZ2CY 3-sided enclosure to offer weather protection. In addition to the starboard and portside bench seats, Viking added a huge Ultraleather lounge with a freezer compartment underneath forward of the console. Built-in storage, sink, wash-down hose, and refrigerated compartments are conveniently located in seating and corners.

Electronics – Nav/Com, Entertainment, Systems:

Tower / Riggers:

Custom Palm Beach Towers tuna tower features a bench seat and helm dash painted anti-glare satin black along with the sunshade frame. Sunshade and tower platform were also upgraded to carbon fiber. Rupp’s BiggRigg™ triple spreader hydraulic outriggers with heavy-duty back bars and teaser rig collars, and a Rupp center rigger is a great trolling set-up for raising billfish.

Cockpit / Observation Mezzanine:

The 180 sq. ft. teak cockpit has been fitted with the standard tournament-proven Viking fishing gear and upgraded with many more amenities that are neatly hidden in lockers and compartments under seats, steps, and decks, and built into the transom. The cockpit centerpiece is the feature-laden Release Marine Trillium Ultraleather fighting chair on offset stanchion. Cockpit coaming and covering boards are teak. Overhead air-conditioning vents cool the mezzanine. Seating has been with upgraded Bentley stitched Ultraleather cushions. An electric grill tops the portside tackle center, and an ice-machine provides chipped ice for chilling down the day’s catch. A refrigerated beverage box is built into the steps to electric salon door.

The magnificent gleaming white engine room is perfectly arranged with all the systems needed for extended fishing trips and accessibility for easy maintenance. BIG OIL features many upgrades to mechanicals for redundancy and convenience, such as the Willy Vac® bilge/multi-purpose vacuum and a second generator.
