Vessel Walkthrough
The you first step on board the 41 Cabo "BIG HIT" the word that comes to mind is, STELLAR! Every single item, every single detail you can imagine, has been done by one of the most fastidious experienced owners ever to own a boat. Every item was customized and tailored to the boat for the personal taste of anyone that has thought of, or owned a custom boat. They took a production boat and put custom items into play from the Release Marine solid teak Battle Saddle seat to the Release custom teak entry step box.
You have access on either side to the Pipewelders tower which has a buggy shaded top. This space is complete with double bench seat and full controls with electronics. There is also Rupp anodized side riggers and center rigger that lets you have the set up time to get ready for the "BIG HIT"!
Under the helm area the engine compartment is accessed with an automatic lift that easily gives access the engine compartment. You will note how easy it is to get to anything in the area. The entire engine compartment is fully custom awl grip painted (again not stock). This is the location of the Seakeeper 6 which has full warranties. In this location is where your Volvo Penta dependable power plant and the Westerbeke genset are stationed.
Another custom feature you will immediately note is the mezzanine seating with the cold plate storage capacity under the bench seat. This can be used for refrigeration or can be cranked down to a freezer. Along with this, you have two in deck large boxes both of which are refrigerated, these will keep ice or fish as cold as you like for days on end. The deck is painted with an easy to maintain non skid which equates to 0 maintenance. In the transom located on the deck center is easy access to your salt and fresh water pumps, strainers and steering gear. On the transom bulkhead is the big door for hauling in larger fish when you need to get one onboard, and believe me, "BIG HIT" has hauled plenty of fish onboard. This boat raises and catches fish time and time again. All of the cockpit has an off white (as to not show stains) a custom cockpit combing cushion as well to comfortably lock into when gaffing, wiring or stand up fighting fish. You have port and starboard access to the bow from the cockpit on nice nonskid decks. This is for tying up docking lines, sunning on the fore deck or anchor assisting. The cockpit has the optional sun shade with carbon fiber poles for the bottom fishing, diving or using this space to just hang out at the dock. Next to the entry to the helm area there is a tackle station on the starboard side for all of your tackle needs. There are rod holders in the cockpit combing for 4 rods and 6 more on the side poles for the tower legs plus 6 more overhead on the tower railing. As you enter the Iesenglass enclosed helm station you will notice it has the option to open up for fresh air or enjoy the climate controlled comfort (as it is cooled by 32,000 BTU upgraded AC units). From here you will notice the triple Pompanette teak backed helm seats with foot rests. The helm seating and and all seating are two tone custom colored to give a very rich feel. As you are looking at the helm you will note there is the Volvo Penta Garmin glass cockpit with the largest (3) Garmin 8617 screens that will fit at the helm that offers you the ability to have information for any combination on each screen or combinations on several. There are single lever engine controls for backing down or making the boat maneuver in tight areas. Just overhead, you have 2 easy access Miya Epoch teaser reels for hauling in or deploying teasers from the helm in a hide away sliding door overhead access. You also have twin I-com VHF ratios to monitor multiple conversations when tournament fishing or just to have redundant back up. In the helm and cockpit you babe top of the line JL Audio speakers with lots of power to listen you your music clean and clear when you want. Not to mention in the helm area is an Isotherm stainless steel drawer refrigerator drink refrigerator that is big enough for a case if whatever you wish to put in there. As you enter the three steps (with storage under it) into the salon you that gives you the nicest accommodation available anywhere. To starboard on the aft bulkhead is a custom built in cabinet with shelves that the owner put in to give more storage space (not standard). The salon has a large L shaped sofa to starboard with a dining table that has a pull out bed. This faces a large flat screen TV. Across to the port side is a two burner stove and over counter microwave. on the forward bulkhead under the counter is a two drawer under counter stainless steel refrigerator/freezer. On the aft bulk head is a very large enclosed head complete with fresh water toilet, sink, mirror, cabinet storage and surprisingly very large glass enclosed shower. This is the largest head and shower area you could even expect and quite a surprise. Forward entry through a nice, large, privacy door opens into an island queen bed with lockers and drawers more than ample for a week or longer stay. This area is complete with AC and TV. This is without a doubt, the best "hotel room" you could ever imagine on the water and you never have to pack or unpack a suit case! If you are on the hook or on the dock, you will have everything you need in this big, little boat without the hassle of crew or deep draft requirement and still retain the big fish ability in this boat.
