This Alaskan 56 raised pilothouse is a well equipped cruiser ready to take you away in comfort.  Hull 9 was initially built by an engineer who was a knowledgeable yachtsman with a discerning eye for details. She has been very well cared for over the last few years and has benefited immensely from a great deal of refreshing and updates.  PATIENCE has just returned from explorking the Bahamas and Caribbean and her owners are ready for their next adventure. Construction

Aft Deck
PATIENCE can be accessed from the aft deck, with a large transom door and wide boarding gates on both sides of the spacious, covered cockpit. Boarding with luggage or provisions is safe and convenient.
Lazarette
The lazarette below the aft deck provides for ample stand-up storage for lines, fenders, tools, cleaning supplies, dive gear and water toys.
Swim Step

Engine Room
The Alaskan boasts a stand-up engine room accessed from the lazarette which houses a pair of 480 hp Caterpillar C-7 diesel engines that can be easily accessed from all sides. The engines are fired by dedicated starting batteries and drive through matched ZF transmissions. The 12kw Northern Lights generator is located starboard and has its own start battery. A Reverso oil changing system is connected to each engine and transmission, and the generator to improve serviceability. An automatic Fireboy fire suppression system, fresh water and wash down pumps are additional features welcomed by her captain.

Salon
Entering the salon through double doors you will find an inviting hi-gloss mahogany wood interior an L-settee to port and barrel chairs to starboard are situated for comfortably viewing the Sony Bravia 50? TV. To starboard is generous storage and a built-in bookcase featuring shelves and lockers. The settee is covered in ultra-leather. Silhouette blinds provide privacy and protection from the sun throughout.
Galley
The gourmet galley-up is equipped for meal preparation with all the necessities of a gourmet kitchen. The Karadon counter tops are easy to maintain. Starboard side pantry closets and cubbies with abundant storage ensures a good home can be found for all provisions. Opposite the galley you will find a sought-after day head.
Pilothouse
The centerline helm console in the raised pilothouse is equipped with a full complement of contemporary navigational electronics, all within easy reach of the leather stidd helm chair with custom mouse pad on the starboard arm rest. Precise Glendenning controls allow smooth control of the twin C-7 Caterpillar engines while her rudders are guided by a custom, handcrafted cherry helm wheel. A Garmin color radar chartplotter is integrated with the Raymarine autopilot. A chart table to port allows for easy storage and use of paper charts. Sidepower bow thruster helps with close quarters handling. Controls for the dual trumpet Kahlenberg horns, intermittent Exalto wiper/washer, Maxwell windlass, and Bennett trim tabs are all close at hand.
Pilothouse Settee with Hi/Lo Table
The pilothouse settee with a large table provides a convenient and comfortable dining or work surface. Beneath the settee are several small lockers for storage. Port and starboard pilothouse doors lead directly to the wide side decks while stairs to the starboard side provide safe access to the flybridge. Textilene screens for all pilothouse windows provide sun protection. Hi/Lo table forward of the settee provides the perfect setting for cocktails with a view.

Master Stateroom
A queen island berth is the centerpiece of the master stateroom. Full hanging cedar lockers forward, two (2) deep drawers under the berth, and a dresser with nine drawers ensure owners have all the room they need for cruising and living aboard.
Master Head (ensuite)
The ensuite head features a large walk-in shower stall with a seat, electric Vacuflush head, and Karadon countertops.

Guest Stateroom (VIP)
A centerline queen berth easily accessible from both sides. One large overhead hatch makes this space airy and comfortable.

Flybridge
A frameless venturi windscreen deflects air above the admiral and captain sitting in comfortable raised Stidd helm chairs. A Garmin chartplotter, Furuno and HD radar complement the Raymarine autopilot and wind and speed indicator which provides navigational support along with the large Ritchie compass. Controls for the bow thruster, trim tabs, horn and windlass are close at hand. The 4' HD radar scanner and TV antenna are mounted on the folding arch that can be lowered when necessary. Shaded by a bimini top, the portside L-settee and starboard side settee provide comfortable seating for crew and guests while underway or at anchor.
Boat Deck
Just aft and port of the flybridge settee the boat deck houses the DSC Fisher Paykel grill, counter top, under counter freezer and a large storage compartment. The open boat deck accommodates lounging and serves as access to the 13' Highfield CL360LS. The center console dinghy has seating for 4 and is powered by a 30 hp 4-stroke Yamaha outboard and launched with the hydraulic 1000 lb davit.
