Description

Arctic Scout is a double ended lifeboat type design and is powered by a single diesel Caterpillar engine. She is an all fiberglass constructed 39' former US Navy and former US Coast Guard survey and research vessel built in 1965 by United Boat Builders of Bellingham, Washington. She was eventually turned over to the US Coast Guard and then later sold privately to The Glacier Society where she was enjoyed a complete refit in 2006.
